Meridian Behavioral Health Systems supports JDRF in its unwavering commitment to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes (T1D). We are thrilled to partner with JDRF, the leading global organization funding T1D research.
Meridian Behavioral Health Systems is extremely proud to be a Gold Sponsor for the 2017 JDRF Promise Gala in Nashville. JDRF exists for the millions of children, adults, and families affected by T1D every single day. Their determination to overcome this disease inspires all of us at Meridian Behavioral Health Systems.
The black tie gala will include a cocktail reception; a multi-course dinner; silent and live auctions; JDRF’s signature Fund A Cure program and live musical entertainment.
More than 80% of JDRF expenditures support T1D research and research-related education. Last year’s JDRF Promise Gala event drew over 750 guests and raised more than $1.3M for the JDRF Middle Tennessee chapter.
Join JDRF and Meridian Behavioral Health Systems for an unforgettable evening of raising funds to “Turn Type One into Type None” on April 22. Visit www.jdrf.org/promisegala or contact Mary Lyn Schuh at 615.383.6781 or email@example.com.
About Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, a hormone people need to get energy from food. T1D strikes both children and adults at any age and suddenly. Its onset has nothing to do with diet or lifestyle. There is nothing you can do to prevent it. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin. With T1D there are no days off, and there is no cure yet.
JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. JDRF’s mission is to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications. To accomplish this, JDRF has invested more than $2 billion in research to date and made significant progress in understanding and fighting the disease. JDRF works with academic institutions, policymakers, and corporate and industry partners to develop and deliver a pipeline of innovative therapies to people living with T1D. JDRF’s staff and volunteers are dedicated to advocacy, community engagement and our vision of a world without T1D. For more information, please visit jdrf.org or follow us on Twitter: @JDRF.
